Gaius

Where does one start, when trying to sum up Gaius. Well I have to admit I have had no kitty like him before. As much as I love him, I kinda wanna lock him up once and awhile! He is a test of my patience that’s for sure. He’s not a bad kitty per say, he’s just well….ummm crazy! I’m sure at this point your like suuuuuure how nuts can a kitten be, I’m telling ya man, he’s crazy. First off lets show you how cute and innocent he looked at first! Cute eh?

48745316_b4bdbf3e51.jpg yeah….he sure is, he sure is.

When we go to bed, and he decides it’s time for us to get up he will scratch the bottom of our bed like his personal scratching post. Once we react, usually tossing a pillow at him, he’ll find a new spot to scratch. When we sit up he stops as if he has won, and he will back right off. As soon as we lay back down he will do something he’s just not allowed to do! Such as climb on Matt’s desk and start knocking stuff over, or whacking the calender. As soon as we get up, he chills like he was never doing anything. He’s so mischievous it’s not even funny. He tends to run into walls a lot, seriously it’s so loud sometimes I think he’s broke his head!

gaius-tongue-out.jpgI made a mistake with Gaius, I thought it was funny that he likes to eat people food, so I gave him a little here and there while I ate. I created a monster! As soon as he hears the fridge open he will crawl right in it, no kidding….right inside it! Matt didn’t notice one time, and he was in there for at least a minute. Now we have to do a fridge check before closing it. Whenever we open the front door he runs out and starts booking it down the hall. I can’t wait until he meets a puppy, that will teach him!We really hope he will settle down a bit after his vet appointment in March, that’s when he says goodbye to his jewels. I love him, really I do, but I miss sleeping, our furniture is getting wreaked, and I’m afraid he’s caused some sort of brain damage to himself.

58984638_d436a8001a.jpgOver time Gaius has developed some amazing markings. His front end, and lower end of his body is striped. His mid section all the way around is a caramel colour with orange polka dots, he’s very beautiful, just a little crazy.

Well Gaius grew up, he’s in his teenage years now about 6 months old, and he’s so wired, it’s messed up! He will run from one end of the apartment to the other, scaling most of the furniture on the way. He will knock over chairs, and dive off of the couch on to Shiznits back, and ride him, while he bites his ears and stuff. He will then run to the bathroom scale the shower curtains, lay in the bathtub, chase his tale as he meows for some reason. When I have a bath he chills beside me, gets his tail wet then jumps on the floor, chases his tail, while whacking his head off the corner of the heater, over and over and over again. You think he might learn, nope! When we are in the kitchen for no reason he will jump up as far as he can, whack our thighs and fall back down only to look up at us and do it again. What the heck is he doing?

48745317_3f0671a8d3.jpgNow being a couple years old, he’s still a turd. He is possible the best cat out there. He has so much character, and he complements our life everyday! Shiznit and Gauis are best friends. Gaius still likes to dive onto Shiznit. We are so glad he’s part of our family.
