Argh
Published February 26th, 2008 in Random Blog PostsI’m having a crappy night, I just thought I would share it with whoever. Everyone is in bed, and it literately just took five hours to put the baby to sleep. She decided finally after many of my nerves were pulled to fall asleep on the couch. Looks like I’ll be sleeping in the living room tonight. Honestly I don’t care where I sleep, I just want to sleep. This baby stuff is allot harder than I remember. Addison is so dependent on me, it seems like I have to do everything. She is my little cling on, mommas girl, and it is me that she wants all the time. I love the little bugger, but I wish she would let someone help me.

Arrg! I remember nights like that, not much fun. It sounds like you’re doing a great job though. If I, a total stranger, could be so bold as to give you a small bit of advice though….. Addison is a mammas girl, but mamma won’t be any good to her if mamma doesn’t take care of herself. She might not like other people helping you, but if you do it enough, she’ll get used to it. My mom used to tell me things like this when mine were little, and I remember thinking, “ya, and then I get to try and sleep while I listen to my baby crying, knowing daddy isn’t doing it right, or at least not right according to baby”. Tough spot. You know so many families out there don’t even have an eighth of the love and stability that you’re offering this baby, you really are doing something wonderful. Chin up, before you know it they’ll be slamming the door in your face, and telling you they don’t want to go to college!
How right are you Krista, us moms thinking we are the only ones that can do anything right. Matt helps me out so much, Addie just wants me to do everything! Thanks for the encouraging words, It will get better. As a matter of fact it is! She’s letting Matt hold her more, even put her to sleep! She is chillin with us too, not just fussing. Now if only I could give her a bath without freaking!
